The Trip to Erhai
On the east side of the ancient city wall, there is a big lake called Erhai. Today, I am leading you to enjoy the fantastic view of this lake.
We stayed at a local courier station specialized for motorcyclists. Motorcycle enthusiasts from all over the world prefer to stay here when they come to Dali. It doesn't matter if you don't own a motor, because the hotel also offers a motorcycle rental service. After all, a motorcycle is the most suitable vehicle for traveling in Erhai.
Erhai is about 2,000 meters above sea level. The sunshine is brilliant here all year round, so you should want to be well-prepared for sun protection when you come to Erhai.
Wandering around Erhai, we had been looking for a suitable scenic lookout. There were many places look beautiful yet didn’t seem to fit us.
When we arrived at the east side of Erhai, the buildings along the roadside were decreasing, while the scenery was gradually becoming gorgeous. The large rocks by the lake seemed to be a dedicated place for people to step on and enjoy the lake view.
We discovered a soil slope along the last stretch of the lakeside road. Although the upward slope looked narrow and steep, this road condition was not a problem for SCRAMBLERS.
The scenery at the crest was so much better than those caught from the rocks. Looking into the distance, it was the panorama of Dali- the ancient city.
