The dust has a nostalgic aesthetic thanks to the classic HBT cotton fabric. The world's strongest fiber, UHMWPE, is used to fill the knees and hips reinforcement. Excellent cut, tear, and abrasion resistance are all present.
The DUST pants have CE-2 approved removable memory foam armor on the knees and hips. So, the pants are flexible and easy to move in, and when they get hit, they stiffen up to take the shock.

I was surprised to find out they have dyneema only in the front panels, and not in the seat. I'm not riding in them yet because of this new information. I don't know what prompted this design aspect but it has me contemplating a return. Lots of sliding on asphalt happens on the rear if youtube videos are any indication. It seems like a weak point in the protection value of these pants But the fabric is substantial and they appear to be well made. That the legs are wide enough at the cuff to accommodate my Sidi X Power boots was a primary attraction, and that they look like Carhartt double knee pants instead of the bottom half of an Astronaut or Power Ranger suit was also a plus.
These are awesome britches ! Super nice quality . Look great . Comfortable. Heavy but not overly bulky or hot . Large legs fit over boots well . Long inseam hangs just right in seated position . Button fly . Armor is easily removable . 4 pockets on front . 2 on back .
